A Long Time Coming...

I have been dreaming about this car moving in to my garage since I was 10. I mentioned this in my first post on here  . And finally, after years of waiting and hoping, my dream is coming true. I am selling my 1965 Studebaker Commander in order to free up room for the car that I have always wanted. Originally when we bought our house, I wanted to put both Studes in the garage. Time and thoughts have changed regarding that. I kind of like being able to pull right in to the garage on a cold rainy evening.

As of now, the plan is to move the wagon by my birthday in March. This will be my birthday present to myself this year. Then I plan to continue cleaning it up and start ordering new brake parts to replace the original parts still on the car. I will continue my attempts to free up the engine and get that running as well. The hunt will then begin for a Stude automatic to back up the 259. I have already moved the tires and wheels from the 65 over to the wagon. Here is how she sits currently:
The red sheet is there to protect the roof from scratches since the roof rack is not actually attached to the vehicle. It has been taken off to be polished up as best as possible and so that the roof could be freed of 50 years worth of dirt. The dog dish hubcaps will be put back on once the car is moved. Dont want to risk losing them in the move and the wheels will be repainted anyways. Progress is finally being made on this long dormant Stude.
